SLU - Real Elevator Pitch Competition

November 4, 2015 to January 4, 2016
External Opportunity

For the last four years, Saint Louis University has held one of the wildest Entrepreneurship competitions there is…The 'Real' Elevator Pitch competition.

Real students give real pitches to real investors (net worth last year was ~$2BB) on real elevators in the 2nd tallest building in Missouri. You can check out our video from last year here.

This year will be wilder than all previous years!

For the first time ever, we're opening it up to any college and university around the country...and we're giving away cash along with other prize packages.

Students can pitch their ideas in one of two tracks: For-Profit and Not-For-Profit.

First place from each track will win cash prizes and a trip to the South by Southwest (SXSW) conference in Austin, TX in March 2016.

We would love for you to help us get the word out to your students. After all, the elevator pitch is a skill every student should know (even if they never become an entrepreneur).

We want to see the best of the best from across America! The submission window is open right now.

Do your students, or one of their friends, have the next best idea? Can they pitch it in 30-seconds? We'd love to see them prove it!
• Record your best pitch and upload it to YouTube (it MUST be made public).
• Email us ( from your school email account the YouTube link, your idea track (For Profit and Not-For-Profit), and the name of your school
• Do all of this before Thursday, Nov 19.
That's it. We can't make it any easier to enter.

A blue-ribbon panel of judges will select the top 18 (9 from each track) that will move on to the Final Round.

In addition, we will crown 1 top student in each track as our People's Choice Champions (the most 'likes' on their YouTube video) and invite them to round out the Top 20.

The Top 20 College Finalists will be invited to One Met Square building in downtown St. Louis on the morning of Sun, Dec 6 to pitch to 30+ wealthy judges while riding up and down on 10 elevators.

So record...and submit. Multiple submissions are welcome.
